What is Renaissance?

Renaissance is recognition for all the hard work you do at Canyon! You receive a sticker on your ID card, which signifies the your “level” of Renaissance reward. Along with the sticker, you are eligible for other rewards, such as free merchandise from local vendors, Renaissance t-shirts, and special Canyon recognition!

Did I qualify for Renaissance?

Qualification for Renaissance is based on three areas—Academics, Attendance, and Behavior. Your grades are the first factor, but many people lose out on Renaissance because of problems with attendance and behavior!

• GOLD LEVEL—3.5 to 4.0 Quarter GPA
• SILVER LEVEL—3.0 to 3.49 Quarter GPA
• WHITE LEVEL—Improve your GPA by .3 (available only during the current school
  year—does not “roll over”)

Additionally:

• No behavioral referrals
• No “F’ grades or “U” citizenship marks
• No more than 3 unexcused tardies
• No unexcused absences

How do I pick up my rewards?

Student Eligibility lists will be posted in the Cafeteria, outside B-5, outside Student Services, and will be made available to all period 2 teachers. Check the lists for your name! Renaissance rewards will be delivered to your classes by your Leadership Liason on the day posted. You must have your ID card to claim your rewards!
